Seaweed and Sushi Foraging Courses
The coastline is a wonderful place for the forager; there is an abundance of delicious and nutritious plants and seaweeds to discover and enjoy. We’re so fortunate to have this resource; we should all be aspiring Sushi artisans! The aim of this experience is to educate and inspire you so.
The experience starts with a guided exploration of the rocks going out to sea. At this time of year we exploit the vast tidal range of the Spring Neap Tides; allowing us to access some of the delicacies only to be found further out; we will follow the retreating sea and harvest accordingly.
We will then return to the shore to further investigate, and indeed, taste the day’s finds. We will combine our harvest with our own homemade Sushi incorporating some of our other wild food gourmet ingredients.
This day will include a walk over the rocks and, as such, is not suited to younger children or those with mobility issues.
